Teresa Making Nachos (2021)
By Elizabeth Solich, oil on canvas, recycled materials.
The Cuttlefish feed by using their extendable tentacles to catch prey as it moves past. They also have a razor sharp beak (similar to a parrot’s beak) hidden behind its tentacles which enables cuttlefish to feed on hard shelled animals such as crabs. The Australian giant cuttlefish loves to cook. While enjoying cooking and to be safe from human plastic overdose, the cuttlefish learned how to utilise Stikeez.. after all life is like nachos, you have to pour on it with the best toppings and let the nacho be the canvas.
