A study at Macquarie University in Sydney found that sharks could recognise jazz – if there was food on offer, but are stumped by sound pollution. Noise means stress and impairs the animals’ immune system which makes them more susceptible to illness in general. Whale sharks are migratory and can potentially leave a disturbed area, so Clare can self-care and reduce the negative effects of stress in the future. The Practice of self-care, especially when the world seems so dark, will shed some light into your life and the lives of those around you.
